Newspaper

A quirky and creative take on Blankenberge’s history and present transformed into a newspaper you won’t want to throw away.
This was one of the most enjoyable projects I’ve done. The brief was simple: create a newspaper about your hometown, but with an appealing and engaging design.

My hometown is a coastal town historically known for its fishermen, and I wanted that heritage to sit at the core of the concept.
I designed a vintage, scrapbook-inspired aesthetic reminiscent of old printed paper, then modernised it with bold colours and a fluid composition, fancy term for a composition that’s all over the place, just like the sea.

This project not only gave me the freedom to craft a unique visual identity for the newspaper, but also encouraged me to rediscover my town. Searching for compelling stories, hidden details, and the perfect shots to bring it all to life.
